1920s Lombard Big Six Auto Type Tractor

A Lombard doing what it was designed to do, haul wood. The average load was 13 sleds loaded with 7-8 cords of pulwood per sled at a speed of 7-10 mph. The record was 28 sleds.It was not unusual for these machines to make a trip of 20 miles or more oneway.

This machine was part of a Great Northern Paper Company operation
