Yesterday's Tractor Company - Antique Tractor Pictures

This tractor came from Virginia State Surplus at the beginning of August. From our research we were able to determine that this was an old state tractor. The tractor had been painted several times and required a lot of work to strip the old paint off. There were several holes in the hood that had to be patched. Once the tractor was primed and the first coat of paint went on we could not believe our eyes. It is amazing what a coat of paint and some new parts do to the appearance of a tractor. The tractor did not really look perfect until the decals were added. The only mechanical things done were the replacement of several seals and the changing of fluids. This has been another project of the Agricultural Mechanics Class at Turner Ashby High School. As a whole the class feels that you can not get any more satisfaction than seeing a hunk of junk turn into a shiny new pearl.
