Unknown Part Might Be Ford ?

What is this thing? Made of cast iron. I don't have it handy to measure, but is about 4 or 5 inches square if I remember right. Is it a PTO / Belt pulley adaptor for a old Ford tractor? I got it with some sort of PTO adaptor stub attachment that was for a Ford tractor.
