Yesterday's Tractor Company - Help Identify These Antique Tractors

1954 Ford Naa

After taking the top hydraulic cover off to have the hydraulic linkages adjusted I found this 'extra' planetary gear set-up(left side of photo). There is an 'extra' lever on the left side of the trans housing next to the PTO lever. When I shift the trans lever it reduces the speed about 1/2. This tractor also has a Sherman auxiliary in front of the Ford trans, so I therefore have 24 forward and 6 reverse speeds. My questions are; Who makes the unit? Is it factory or after market? Is it a rare option or feature? Will it enhance the value of the tractor to a collector? Any information would be helpful. Oh, maybe this is a clue,I bought this tractor at a local auction from a man that had a landscaping business.
