1940s Detroit Tractor Co. Model 44-16
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

This will be my first tractor restoration. Appears to operate like a dozer or skid steer but it is chain drive. Continental N62 engine? Also has a blade although I don't know how it was attached or lowered and raised. (Blade may be homemade). Does anyone know anything about this type of tractor, like correct paint color, what type of grill I need to fabricate, and what someone in the 1940's might have used one for. The hood is cast aluminum.
