1949 DC Modified

This tractor also got its turn pulling the harrogator. This 'D' Case has been in my family for over 40 years. It was bought used as a DC and soon modified to have a D front axle and soon smaller diameter rear tires were retrofited. This made it a real good heavy tillage tractor in second gear. We found the standard DC to be a little too fast in second to be able to pull three bottoms in tough Kansas gumbo. On a plow or disc, this tractor could put to shame the best A model Deere. The standard DC could also whup most any A Deere. However, we had several B Deeres and they were good for their size--better than the SC.
