Close Up Of 1929 Holt Harvester
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

This is a close up of the 1929 Holt unloading wheat in a new 1948 Chev, truck. My Dad hired the Two hired hands to operate the Machine and hired the wheat hauled. Te harverter cost him around 1000.00 and Wheat was 2.50 per bushel. The Wheat was making aroun 40 bushels per acre. What a difference 56 years makes. Wheat about the same price but the harvester is about 150,000.00 plus. Chuck
