1979 250HP V8 Kirovets K700 A (Russia)
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

The K700 was (and is) the hard working tracor on the large fields in Russia and the East of Germany (the former GDR). It has a 4-speed continiously variable transmission in combination with a 4-speed manually shifted gearbox. (16 speeds forward, 8 backward) The weight of this tractor is about 13 tons. The wheels have 28.1-26 tyres, the max. speed is about 25km/h. The brakes are air-pressure-servos. The K700A is able to plow with 8 or at least 12 plowshares. The engine is a V8-Diesel by Jaroslaw. About 460.000 units were manufactured. The reliable K700 was a great help for farming in the former USSR and I hope Kirovets will have a good time now and in the future not only in Russia but all over the world. Kirovets manufactures newer types today but the K700 is being produced up to now. Have a look at; http;//www.kirovets.com
