Yesterday's Tractor Company - Help Identify These Antique Tractors

Clamshell Tractor Fenders
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

I've got a matched pair of clamshell-type tractor fenders which came off a JD420 (but I know they're NOT original for that machine). They deserve to be used for a restoration project and not thrown out. Does anyone know what tractor belong to? For detailed dimensional info, see below. Anyone who knows the answer, and/or thinks they can use them - please contact me. email is designplansATearthlink.net and phone is 617 755 2300 Thanks, JR

(all measurements in inches, despite what it may look like here...) 36' wide, by 23' overall height (including integral bracket at bottom), by 5' deep (the depth of the cupping), more or less.

The net height of the formed sheet metal, excluding integral bracket, is about 20'.

The width of the squared-off bottom of the formed sheet metal is about 15'.

The integral bracket at bottom has footprint of 6.75' x 2.125', more or less.

There are three vertically-oriented formed grooves in the sheet metal, and two vertically-oriented stabilizer ribs attached to the inside of the cupping.

There is a formed flattened rectangular area, about 4' x 3', in the sheet metal at the top centerline location of each fender.

One of the two fenders includes a bolted-on bracket casting with a hemispherical shape, which appears to be the base portion for a rear lighting unit (not included).
