1953 Farmall Super M - Battery Box And Rods
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

Here is a picture of my 'new' Super M with the perspective of the starter, choke, and belt pully rods and the battery box under the seat. Note there is a battery under the tank but not in a box, sitting where the live hydraulics should be on a true Stage II Super M. There are cables out of the box under the seat, like the ground cable, so the battery used to be there. Also note the metal gas bowl. I read about it as an option for high-risk/low-moisture conditions such as corn picking, but have never seen one. Finally, note how someone has stolen the serial number tag. That black is dry dust just sitting on the cast of the tractor. Hadn't even been rained on, and they must have used a file to reach behind and file the brass rivets out. Think there's a chance well south of heaven that I could manage to get it back? Thanks for looking!!
