1942 John Deere Ar Unstyled
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

This is my AR it’s a 1942 model Unstyled tractor. It’s a hand start with lots of compression! It starts up easy with usually one to two cranks of the flywheel. Any more than that and your ready for a nap! Tractor idles excellent and runs great. No cracks or welds on this AR. This tractor is very fun to show. There’s not a lot of AR's around so people are always interested in looking at them. I believe they were more were shipped into Canada than the USA or it seems that way. I think they only made about 700 of these in 42 so it’s a pretty rare tractor. Pictures were taken after the last show I attended on Labor Day weekend we got 7 inches of rain so the AR was used for pulling cars out of the mud. Tires are a little dirty in the pictures yet. The tractor is now polished back up. This tractor is great for parades because you can haul the kids or grandkids and not worry about them falling in front of the tires. A lot of shows and parades I attend don’t allow kids to ride unless the tractors have full fenders.
