1967 Massey Ferguson 788 Combine
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

Bought from a small holding near Downham Market,Norfolk UK in 2003 for £225.Having not been used for 3 years all the 788 needed to harvest again was a good greasing and new canvas section section along the front of the grain pan to stop threshed grain being lost onto the ground.Despite being stood up for 3 years the Perkins 4.270 diesel engine fired instantaniously. The machine produced a very clean sample with only a few cracked grains.Last of the basic Massey design dating back to the 1940's Massey Harris 21.
