Yesterday's Tractor Company - Antique Tractor Pictures

1937 Minneapolis Moline JTS
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

I bought this tractor in 1961 at an auction near Preble, Indiana for 30. It had sat in a woodlot for several years, and the engine appeared to be stuck. The next day, the weather warmed up and it turned over fine. I replaced the mag cap and put in fresh oil and gas, and it started. I had to tighten the clutch, and then I plowed with it. The tin had surface rust but no dents, and I just steam cleaned and primed and painted it. That was before custom decals and lots of info were available, and the Minneapolis Moline dealer gave me an approximate idea of the color. It had Twin City embossed in the radiator tank. The picture was taken in 1962.
