John Deere 6600 Disaster
[Previous Pic]  [Main List]  [Next Pic]

Happened in 1980, in a place we call the 'bottoms'. Took numerous days in below freezing weather to get out. These pictures are real and not doctored although my family would rather not remember it. That fall we had 3 6600's and 2 6620's running and bought every final drive the junkyard and our Deere dealer could get there hands on. Grandfather thought up the idea for using the chain hoist from the shop and built the boom on the Cat.
