Front tires are junk, rears are 70% 18-4-38. Tin is mostly straight, fenders are a little tweaked, but will come back. Was going to go pulling with it, but can t bring myself to chop it up.

  • Looking for pics--precious few were taken when I was a teenager working on granpa s place. He ran minnie mos and they captivated me then and still do now--power--he had a Vista G1000 diesel with cab, must have been 68 or 69 , very unusual to have a cab tractor at that time and he was stepping up from a M5. Later he added a vista G1000LP, strong tractor. Both pulled 6-16 s and clay didn t stop em. Tandem disc with harrow also, LP with 18.5 ft and the diesel with 19.5 ft. Later he picked up a M670 and we used that for cultivating, pulling the planter and such...good tractor,, LP as well. The best and my favorite wa the 75 White 2-150--bought used around 78 , came wioth a chrome exhaust that curved to the right and no muffler, 585 c.i. no turbo no intercooler no high rpm, just raw stroke power and the nicest flame when plowing at night, that thunderous sound lugging 7-16 s and later a 25 ft tandem disc with harrow--fancy disc with hydraulic folding,, a white i believe, all the other implements mentioned were Moline brand. Granpa tried to muffle the 150 but the damn muffler was so thick I couldn t see around it so he took it back off a few weeks later and I never saw it again.Anywho, any pics of these big cats in action in the field would be appreciated. The 150 ran duals and in furrow on the seven bottom,, the diesel Vista had these unique cones for the duals to attach to, added weight and just had a nice look with the duals on. Any pics would be appreciated. Straight furrows! If anybody stilll pulls a moldboard.

It was a damn good work horse in the fields but the pto took a crap and thats only problem we had with that one. The other G1000 was older style and used that for spreading manure and when ever we thought we working them two G1000s it didn't even phase'em. G1000s where built heavy which is good for field work and had very good lugging power. One of the best tractors ever built and one of the best in my book for sure.

  • I owned a MM M670 Super which was LP and a G950 LP on the farm here in north Iowa. My Dad and I found that if you used a tank heater to warm the coolant through the vaporiser that they would start and stay running until engine warmed up. I work for a MM dealer and we always installed a Century vaporiser on all the LP tractors he sold installed Century 100 vaporisers was the size and the tractors ran more fuel efficently. With vista engine being a 504 it will take about 2hrs to warm it with a tank heater 1500 watts size.

When its cold, it runs, then dies, but when you hold the starter in gear, it runs fine. Then when you shut it off when its warm, it starts and runs like a sewing machine. I think it may be a filter, but any help out there will help alot. thanks.

  • I used to run a G-1000 Diesel. Awesome power and torque, and the sound out of the exhaust was unforgettable. We farmed around Central Pennsylvania, and I occasionally drove through the capital of Pa. on my M.M. with dual wheels on it on the way to other farms. It was quite a shock for the "city folk" to see a G-1000 roaring down the city streets.
