My concern is ordering parts without a definite identification. Are all 800 series the same for items like valve cover gaskets or do folks fashion their own

  • Where can I find the S/N on my Ford 800 (I think) tractor? I just bought this machine and it came with both the loader and backhoe attachments, but the control levers leak badly. Where can I get seal kits to fix them? The backhoe boom also does not stay stationary after I move it side to side, it will swing in what ever direction the tractor happens to be leaning. What can I do to fix this? Another question is on re-chroming some of the actuators. Are there any special considerations? Is it cheaper to just replace them? What are these old machines worth restored?
