1948 (8N24342) - Restored this 48 8N a few years ago and then 2 years ago found an old rusted running gear pipe irrigation wagon sitting in the weeds 5 miles from my place. The farmer said if I would take it away I could have it for free. He said he had parked it by the road and tried to get rid of it before but no takers. I was delighted...within 2 hours I took a portable air pump and pumped up the tires, hitched to my F250 and towed it home before he changed his mind. Then took a cutting torch to it..striped it down and had my welder build a new floor frame and rails. I painted it, install lumber, a rear step, a gate and seats for 20 kids for rides. And yes, I put new tubes in the tires. The first ride was for one of our granddaughters 9th birthday party and all her friends. The running gear, I'm told was from the 1940s. And by-the-way, I wired it with lights and turn signals and pull it with the 8N that has been converted to 12V. Wired a four-flat pigtail to the back for hookup. Pulls very nice. We also used it for Christmas Caroling in our gated community.
