McCormick-Deering Early Combine Harvester. Model uncertain, possibly a model 8. The image was taken in the 1920s near Wetonka, SD on property owned by Thomas Crompton, Jr. Robert Crompton, his brother, and my grandfather is operating the machine. The farm was located 4 1/2 miles west of Wetonka, SD along a stream now called Crompton Lake. |
