This summer I refinished the second of my two Minnesota 1262 barge wagons. I lightly sanded the wood, stenciled on the lettering, and put two coats of spar varnish on the wood. I cleaned, primed, and painted the metal. I had two MN new signs made for the sides. Then I figured I might as well clean up, prime, paint, and put new decals on the MN 6 ton running gear. I had heard a couple of stories about the MN Prison making some varnished barge boxes but never found one. |
